Potable Water

AST provides drinking water solutions to produce safe drinking water for large communities and for the industry. Zero energy and emergency water production units are also available to support disaster struck communities or rural areas lacking permanent access to electricity.

Our membrane-based solutions enable the production of safe water from any source:

  • Ground and surface water (water holes, wells, dams, rivers, etc.)
  • Brackish water
  • Seawater

Membrane potable water plants

To meet the intense demand for potable water worldwide, we offer an innovative line of water purification units using advanced membrane technology.

AST provides microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, and reverse osmosis systems to treat raw water and produce high-quality water free of suspended solids, colloidal and dissolved material and pathogens.

High mobility and fast access to potable water, especially in areas with difficult accessibility, is one of the main advantages of the AST mobile membrane units for water purification.

We offer pre-mounted systems ready for operation. The units with a lower capacity are mounted on lightweight trailers or on frameworks that allow easy transport by light vehicles. Larger systems are pre-mounted in racks or installed in a container.

Everything is designed to enable a fast solution locally and quickly overcome the lack of potable water. For this reason, we have simplified the transport, the start-up, and the operation.

AST units are designed to allow easy installation and continuous operation. The operation and maintenance of these units are easy and low cost.

Upon the customer’s request, we also offer operation and maintenance contracts for the AST units.

Emergency and zero energy drinking water production

Containerized water units for potable water production in disaster-struck communities can also be provided to be deployed and operational in a short time in any place in the world.

Zero energy plants, integrating ultrafiltration membranes, can be installed in local communities lacking electricity.
